Jeremy, Ernie, Andy, and Tommy - The Amazing Race Season 19 Episode 9

The race continues in Denmark and Belgium. In this Leg's Roadblock, racers had to memorize a poem on the base of the statue of Hans Christian Andersen on Andersens Boulevard (Danish), and then use a map on a provided bicycle's wheel to navigate themselves to the Teatermuseet i Hofteatret (Danish) where they would have to recite the poem verbatim and with dramatic flair in order to receive their next clue. This Leg featured a Detour, but all of the teams chose the task called Bodybuilding Pose; this was changed to an additional task in post-production, leaving the other Detour option unknown to viewers. For Bodybuilding Pose, teams made their way to the Concert Noble in Brussels and competed in a bodybuilding competition in honor of Jean-Claude Van Damme, who is famously known as "The Muscles from Brussels". Racers had to put on bikinis, cover their bodies in posing oil, and then learn a series of bodybuilding poses. They then used the poses in a routine that they performed in front of three judges. If the judges gave them a combined score of 12 or better, teams would receive their next clue.

Carlos agassi and Paulo Avelino - Gandang Gabi Vice Oct 23, 2011

During the press con of Praybeyt Benjamin last September 28, Carlos Agassi revealed that he had engaged in a gay relationship during his teens. The 32 year-old further shared that he never opened up about it before since no one dared to ask him about such a sensitive issue including his family and friends. “Mapili ako sa kaibigan e. Ang pinaka itinuring kong pamilya ko ay yung family ko talaga. So I guess they know, but they never talked to me directly the way [the press people] are talking to me about it now.”

When Push.com.ph asked him if he’s worried about the consequences of such a big revelation, Carlos explained that there’s no point regretting a past experience which made him a better person. “I can’t say I don’t care. But I don’t see anything wrong [with owning up to my mistake] because a person who’ll love me should love me for the person that I am right now. For what it’s worth, I’m grateful for my past mistakes because they made me a better person now. It’s just sad that whatever mistakes I did in the past are carried over to my present life.”

Although same sex relationships remain to be a debatable issue in the Philippine society and considered a taboo in most sects, Carlos said that it’s something that couldn’t be denied at this point in time. “There's nothing wrong with that. 2,000 years ago meron ng ganon. I mean, ayoko naman magmukhang masama sa mga extremists na ayaw sa bading, at ayoko rin naman magmukang masyadong open-minded about it. But let’s face the fact that it's happening. But I guess I can only speak for myself. If I do something, aaminin ko kahit mali man siya. At kung mali man, pagsisihan ko, knowing that it will make me a better person,” he reiterated.

Seth - PBB Unlinight Nov 24, 2011

Seth is a Filipino American whose mom is a Visayan. He was given a secret task by Big Brother to pretend to be Luz's husband and if he succeeds, he will become an official housemate.

Set and Luz finally met each other inside the confession room. Aside from their strategies, Luz also made it clear about the limitations by which they are going to do the task. She was like, “I’m married for almost 9 years. I have a daughter abd I do love my husband.” Seth understood and told Big Brother, “Natatakot din ako kasi kasal na sya at may anak na sya. I kindah am in the same boat so I know ayaw nyang bastusin asawa nya, ayaw ko ring bastusin girlfriend ko.” (I’m pretty scared because she’s married and has kids. I kindah am in the same boat so I know she doesn’t want to disrespect her husband and I too don’t want to disrespect my girlfriend.)

Seth entered the house. The housemates were ecstatic to see him. Joya for instance told Big Brother that she suddenly remembered her own love outside. All of the housemates were of vourse affected by Seth's entrance inside the house, but none has been more affected emotionally than Kigoy. Kigoy told Big Brother that he feels envious to see Luz having such a close relationship with someone and that he also yearns to have the same closeness to people that he could call his family.
