To welcome the new year with a bang, the Extra Challenge team has prepared a very special Extra Pasabog episode. This episode was shot in Tumana, Marikina last December 4. Challengers include Kapuso host Luane Dy, Mr. Manhunt International June Macasaet, comedienne Patricia Ismael, and magician Bearwin Meiley.

Macasaet, 28, bested 52 other international contestants at the 2012 Manhunt International pageant night held in Bangkok, Thailand. Before his first international stint, the Filipino commercial and ramp model finished 1st runner-up at this year's local Century Tuna Superbods competition.

A native of San Jose, Batangas, Macasaet finished his studies at Centro Escolar University in Manila. Now set for an international modeling career when he flies to Singapore early next year, the 6'1"-tall model expressed his gratitude to Filipinos who rallied behind him during his bid in Manhunt International.

Based on Nuevas' comics novel (published in Filipino Komiks), Kukulayan Ko Ang Langit, the series follows the ill-fated life story of Lena, a provincial lass who has been conned by a rich-looking Manila boy into joining him to the city of her mother’s fantasy. She sets foot on the big, bad city and is quickly transformed into prostitute.

The story revolves around Lena, a simple barrio girl who works hard to support her family. Aside from her pure heart, men are also smitten by Lena’s natural beauty. But Lena doesn't have eyes for any of her admirers. She is already in love with her childhood friend Abel, whom she also considers as her first love. However, Lena's mother Luding is against her relationship with Abel. Luding wants Lena to marry Baron, a wealthy guy from Manila. Luding and her husband Dolpo think that Lena’s marriage to Baron will save them from their dire living conditions. Luding hatches a plan to destroy Lena and Abel's relationship. Left with no choice but to obey her parents' will, Lena dumps Abel. Baron brings Lena to Manila with the promise to marry her.

But Lena's nightmares are far from over because Baron just uses her for his illegal business. He turns her into an escort. Lena's world is shattered and her dream of a better life crumbles. Despite her desire to escape Baron, Lena is not ready to face Abel and her family.

Pancho Magno plays the role of Jet, an aspiring model who will help Lena to get back on her feet but will fall in love with her.

Marcel decides to end his affair with Heidi but Heidi is already pregnant with his child. He chooses to live with her as Angeline is forced to go back and stay with her parents. But Angeline finds out that she, too, is pregnant with Marcel's child.

Marcel and Heidi plot to kill Angeline and disguise her death as suicide. But by a twist of fate, Angeline survives and is back for revenge. She assumes the identity of another woman and seeks out vengeance against Marcel and Heidi. Now, it's time for pay back and Angeline will do everything to taste the bittersweet part of her revenge.

The series is based on Sun-mi Lee's novel and MBC's 2007 hit Korean television series, The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince. It headlines Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica as the lead characters and under the direction of Ricky Davao.

The series is also part of the networks set of shows for the last quarter of 2012, along with Aso ni San Roque, Mariposa and Temptation of Wife.

The series chronicles the comedic lives and loves of the main characters, Andy and Arthur. Andy is a hardworking young woman who supports her mother and sister after the death of their father. To sustain their daily needs, she earns a living as a tricycle driver. Arthur, on the other hand, is a happy go lucky and wealthy bachelor whose family owns the biggest coffee factory in the country. His grandmother constantly pressures him to settle down but Arthur is not yet ready to tie the knot.

To avoid the dates arranged by his domineering granny, Arthur hires Andy to pretend to be his gay lover. He doesn't know that Andy is just pretending to be a guy to keep her job in Arthur's coffee shop. Desperate to pay off her family’s debt, Andy is left with no choice but to agree with Arthur's plan and to continue with her charade.

Complications arise when Andy starts to fall in love with Arthur. He is likewise unable to control his feelings for Andy and he starts questioning his sexuality.

Bernabe “RJ” Calipus Jr. first appeared in the ABS CBN reality show Pinoy Fear Factor and now plays the role of Alex in Precious Hearts Romances Presents Hiyas.

Before he started appearing on tv, he was a stevedore from Parola, Tondo. RJ is a son of a Filipina and of a French national. However, he never met his biological parents. Her mother had him adopted because she can no longer support him.

Life seems fast for this “Tondo” boy. He had his first daughter when he was 17 and just a few months ago, his live in partner gave birth to their second daughter. RJ said he can endure his hunger but he can’t stand to see his daughters sick and hungry. That is why he takes any job he can so he can provide for his family. However, he only finished 2nd year high school so he bears jobs like wharf porters and kargador in Divisoria. And at night, he takes up automotive classes.

My Daddy Dearest is a Filipino drama-comedy series created and written by Denoy Navarro - Punio, under the helm of Don Michael Perez and produced by GMA Network. This series headlines Ogie Alcasid in the title role, with Jolina Magdangal-Escueta and Milkcah Wynne Nacion. The series premiered on June 11, 2012 replacing Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis on GMA early primetime block and June 13, 2012 worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV.

Originally titled as Bongga Ka Tay! (lit. Dad, You Are Fabulous!, and also from the combination words Bong which is the name of the main character, and the Filipino gay lingo bongga which means fabulous) but was later changed to My Daddy Dearest.

Inspired on Sebastián Ortega's hit telenovela, Lalola, the series centers on Bong, played by Ogie Alcasid and his daughter Daisy, played by Milkcah Wynne Nacion. They've never been so close to each other and Bong, being a single parent and has no idea on how to raise his daughter all by himself. Daisy tried her best to get her dad's attention but because of one certain wish, everything goes beyond their imagination which changes Daisy's dad into a woman.

Bong (played by Ogie Alcasid) is a millionaire and a major playboy who lives the good life until he meets and falls in love with Rose (played by Jolina Magdangal-Escueta), a simple, loving woman who has a unique gift for growing and tending plants. Their love continues to blossom with the birth of a beautiful daughter named Daisy (Milkcah Wynne Nacion). But unfortunately, fate has other plans for and his family. Rose dies in a tragic accident during Daisy’s first birthday. As a result, Bong goes back to his old playboy ways, leaving his daughter to fend for herself. He is unaware of the daily torments that Daisy goes through in the hands of her Lola Mercedes (Pinky Amador), her Tita Daphne (Sherilyn Reyes), and cousin, Lily (Kyle Ocampo), who all want nothing more than to possess all of Bong’s inheritance including the family company. Despite the luxury being provided for her, Daisy feels lonely because of the absence of her father. Often, she finds refuge in her beloved mother’s garden, which unknown to her, is occupied by a small magical pixie named Winnie (Pauleen Luna). Knowing Daisy’s pain, Winnie decides to help her by granting her one wish: for Daisy’s dad to become a mom instead! Hiyas (lit. Gem) is an Philippine romantic-drama TV series aired by ABS-CBN that premiered on May 28, 2012 replacing Wako Wako on its Kapamilya Gold timeslot. The series is based on the Filipino romance pocket book Silang, The Fierce Warrior by Sofia. It is the 15th installment of the Precious Hearts Romances series.
The series was marked for the third year anniversary installment of the Precious Hearts Romances television adaptations for giving Three Years of Many Top Rating Serials and is the first adaptation to have a Fantasy Action Adventure for Television under 'Precious Hearts Romances' television distribution.

Silang, a fierce warrior from the ethnic group,Tanah. The begotten son of Lucio and Salve who is prophesied to bring the long-lost mythical precious gem in Tanah which is believed that will bring prosperity and reconciliation between the two raging clans of Lucio and Biano.

He fell in-love and set to marry his childhood sweetheart Giana, daughter of Biano, if and only if Silang brings the precious gem in Tanah. This is the only condition given by Biano for Silang before they get married.

As Silang journeys in the city to unfold the mystery of the missing precious gem, he will meet Sapphire Salvador. She is a very sophisticated but charitable woman and soon to get married to an elegible bachelor, Aldrich Zaragosa, who is oddly missing on their wedding day. Sapphire is also the unica hija of the owner of Gemini Industries, Donato Salvador who is associated and lead to the missing precious gem.

Silang and Sapphire will go hand-in-hand in search for the truth about the precious gem. Through Sapphire, Silang’s quest for 'hiyas' will fall into his hand as the two went into life-threatening danger. Thus, what they’ve been through will draw their hearts close to each other.

Rodjun Cruz - Untold Stories Jan 21, 2012

Rodjun Cruz was a member of the now defunct all-male dancing group Anim-E. The group, previously named Anime—in reference to the Tagalog word "anim" or "six" -- originally consisted six members namely: Rayver Cruz, John Wayne Sace, Emman Abeleda, Sergio Garcia, Mico Aytona, and Mhyco Aquino. Rodjun along with Miko Samson joined the original members in 2005.

In 2006, He was cast as Jigo in the ABS-CBN TV series Calla Lily.

After a year, Cruz along with 14 other celebrity contestants joined the second season of U Can Dance Version 2, where he met and started dating fellow Star Magic talent Dianne Medina. Cruz with his dancing partner Lina Basas were named Grand Champion of U Can Dance Version 2 the following year, where he won the grand prize of 250,000 pesos. He also won another 250,000 pesos from the "Merrygalo" segment of, the now defunct noontime variety show, Wowowee. He made a guest appearance in the "Mambabarang" episode of Komiks Presents: Pedro Penduko at ang mga Engkantao in the same year.

In 2008, Rodjun Cruz was cast as Jake Perez in the teen drama Lipgloss.

Rodjun Cruz left Lipgloss after three seasons in 2009. He had minor roles in the ABS-CBN shows Tayong Dalawa and May Bukas Pa. He also made guest appearances in Maynila and Midnight DJ.

He played Calvin in Magkaribal in 2010. He was also cast as Joaquin Buenaventura in Juanita Banana. The same year, he left ASAP XV and joined, the show's rival, P.O.5 in TV5.
